Delete your Dumsor account
You can delete your Dumsor account and everything tied to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — From inside the app FASTEST
1. Open Dumsor
Tap the menu (☰) in the top-left of the home screen.
2. Tap Settings
Scroll to the bottom of the Settings list.
3. Tap Delete account
You'll see a red Delete account row. Tap it, then tap Delete forever in the confirmation dialog.
The deletion happens immediately. You'll see a confirmation, and the app returns you to a fresh anonymous session.
Option 2 — By email
If you can't access the app (lost device, uninstalled, etc.) email us from the address tied to your sign-in:
- To: fritz.playmaker@gmail.com
- Subject: DELETE ACCOUNT
- Body: confirm you want every record tied to your sign-in deleted.
We'll process the deletion within 7 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your anonymous user ID (the device-bound identifier created on first launch).
- Every outage report you've ever submitted (timestamps + the geohash5 area code).
- Your presence heartbeat records.
- Any linked sign-in identity (Google or Sign in with Apple credentials are unbound from your account).
- Any per-device settings stored locally on the phone (theme, group, notification preferences).
What stays
- Anonymised area-level statistics — once we strip your user ID from the records, the aggregate counts (how many cuts an area saw on a given day) remain so the public dashboard stays consistent. These cannot be traced back to you.
Retention
Deletion takes effect immediately on our live database. Encrypted server-side backups are purged within 30 days. Anonymised aggregates are retained indefinitely.
